You will also see Luke Skywalker hunting for answers In the next installment of the Beginner's Guide to the Star Wars Expanded Universe we'll fill in a couple of gaps between the final moments of Return of the Jedi and the opening pages of Heir to the Empire which you will hopefully have read by then. What happens right after the line "I've just made a deal that'll keep the Empire out of here forever." .. I was wondering how many people that were interested in the Star Wars MMO also read Star Wars books like Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire trilogy, or the Rogue Squadron series, etc. In the early 90s, rumors began to swirl more viciously than ever before that George Lucas might be interested in filming his prequel films for the Star Wars trilogy. Rancors Love to Read: Star Wars Book Reviews 5/5 Rancors - Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn is the first book in a series that has come to be referred to as the Thrawn Trilogy. Although Yoda's popularity has never waned since the original trilogy, the moment he dropped his cane and pulled out a lightsaber in Attack of the Clones forever cemented him as being as Badass as he is wise. Another good one is the Tales of the Bounty Fatal Alliance; Deceived; Revan(just finished it); Truce at Bakura; Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy; Courtship of Princess Leia; And Zahn's last two books, Specter of the Past and Vision of the Future. While I'm not sure what kind of person aside from a Star Wars fan would be reading this review or considering this book in the first place, it is readable as a standalone novel; you don't even need to have seen the movies to make sense of it, to some of the situations, characters, and organizations featured in this book: Shadows of the Empire by Steve Perry and the Thrawn trilogy (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command) by Timothy Zahn. In the Thrawn Trilogy you will meet what is considered one of the greatest SWEU villains of all time, Grand Admiral Thrawn. I just gave Heir to the Empire to a friend who's looking to see how to write his own sci-fi, and you just don't get technically better than what Zahn did. You also own Thrawn to the point of having to retreat in an earlier mission.
